Blueberries: The World's Healthiest Food

Earth Friendly was built in 1984 as a solar passive contemporary home which utilizes the warm temperatures from the greenhouses to heat the premises. Over six hundred blueberry bushes surround the 8 acre farm. U-Pickers visit non-stop throughout the summer months for blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and garden vegetables. Earth Friendly has welcomed a multitude of guests who are visiting friends in the area or those who just come to enjoy the diverse activities offered in Central Jersey. Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the solarium...if weather permitting, on the patio overlooking the grounds.

Our guest rooms are light, airy , have a private or adjoining bath, and scenic views. The house is comfortable and quiet to insure a restful night's sleep.

Roz Ressner purchased Earth Friendly Organic Farm and Bed & Breakfast in October 2004.  The Spring of 2005 ushered in her first successful Blueberry U-Pick season and the Bed & Breakfast reopened in May with guests coming from all over the U.S.

A longtime resident of the Jersey Shore, Roz has taught T’ai Chi Ch’uan and Yoga in Ocean and Monmouth Counties for the past 12 years.  She also has a certification in Reflexology, an ancient practice of therapeutic foot massage.  Her hobbies include gardening, playing the piano and caring for her free range chickens.

Roz extends an invitation to those who wish to de-stress, energize, and renew by providing a relaxing atmosphere at Earth Friendly, a great place to visit with family and friends.  The new R&R retreats are also available for those who wish to incorporate Yoga or T’ai Chi in their bed and breakfast weekend, either as a new learning experience or to enhance their current practice.

“I fell in love with Earth Friendly because it was quiet and peaceful, and I hope that everyone who visits will be able to slow down, enjoy each moment, and feel enriched when they leave!”
